About the Team

Paul, Jim, Fe Pixies, and Darce Jean work as team to aid David in any way we can while David is walking from England to France. We all work together to make decisions that will help David make his walk a pleasant one. Paul Vernon met David in La Blanc, France. Since their meeting, Paul has been in daily contact with David; in person or by phone. Paul has graciously taken on the vital and important responsibility of monitoring David every day. Paul is arranging places to stay at the end of each day's walk, managing medical help if needed, making sure he has access to plenty of food and water, asking people to carry his baggage to the next night's lodging so David can have a lighter walk, and plus anything else that needs to be done to aid him as he continues his "Meridianman Walk with Diabetes". Jim Cantrell is also in phone contact with Paul and David helping find contacts, what David may need, or to find out the latest news of where David is. Jim, Fe Pixie, and Darce Jean work with Paul as a team to maintain this web site. David sends us videos, photos, and messages, all through his cell phone. As David sends the videos, photos, and messages to us we have to edit and convert the information to make it web ready. Then we can update the map, blood sugar readings, blogs, photo gallery, video players, post a daily notice of where David is, news events, and create additional pages as the need arises. We started out with two pages and now we have eight! And it is all for David! . Each of us are in differenct time zones, except Paul and David, and Fe Pixie is even a day ahead of us! But we stay close to our computers and monitor David closely so when it is time for one or more of us to retire for the evening or we have to be away for awhile; the others take over. We want to ensure that David has contact with one of us at all times.
